Packing

It is 2:30 AM here in the apartment and I've officially decided that the packing is the WORST part of moving. I think that way mostly because I don't actually move much since I am that out of shape and my knees hurt. I've been reading some friends blogs on here and I really wish I was as good of a writer as they are. I hope that by blogging most frequently I will improve that skill, and it is a skill.

My parents are coming to Hilliard tomorrow to see the new house and I couldn't be more thrilled. Not just with the fact that they are coming but we get to go in the house and check out how sanitized it should be now. We hired these Clean Air specialist to come and basically O-Zone the house to get rid of the mold in the basement and it should also kill any air borne pathogens and any smells. The house had mold in the basement because the sump pump flooded the basement after the electric was shut off so it is a one time problem and that's comforting to know.

It doesn't look like I'll be doing any painting for a while which is a bummer. I would love to have access to endless amounts of money to go in and paint, clean, fully furnish (with NEW furniture, maybe even a set that matched!) but that will be done down the road. That's the best thing about owning a home- you set the pace for fixing it up just how you would like it. I would upload some pictures but at the moment they are on my camera and my camera chord is packed away somewhere!

Organizing is one of my New Years Resolutions. Just to get better at it, since I currently suck at it completely, there's only one way to go- UP! I would also like to be a better friend and I do think I've improved that area of my life even just this week. Instead of thinking I should call some old friends up, I did it. I try to answer my phone when they call and drove to Shelby the week between Christmas and New Years to see a friend who has lived in NYC for quite a while now and I never have gotten the chance to visit him. Not being a pack rat is another goal of mine, and really start to utilize the space we will have in the house. Start eating better, which has been a goal of mine well... my whole life. It is starting to have a large impact on my health and is just overall becoming a huge pain in my ass. Once again, eating healthy and exercise seems to be where excess amounts of money would surely come in handy.

Cheers to 2012!
